Happy Holiday and let winter be over soon!

Greetings from Happy Acre. We are in the end of December and winter has come, gone and come back. In a week we had a Nor'Eastern, 2 feet of snow, the January thaw, the March freeze, April showers and mud season.

One day it was so warm I actually thought about taking Blackie for a run. But the ice in my driveway stopped me and I went for a run instead.

I got a really cool mascot from the Bunny Hat Brigade Bunny Mama - Kate! It is the coolest little bunny on a scooter that lights up. I named it Scoot!

Now we are expecting snow again and bitter cold temperatures. I'm envious of those who can go for a ride. I spend some time plotting for rides and rallies in 2014 and anxiously await for registration to open for the first rally of the season (or at least the first for me) - the Cape Fear Rally in the end of April. Registration is due to open January 3 and sells out quickly. About a week or so later is the opening of another rally - the Mason-Dixon 20/20. I like to enter that one too.

In the meantime I will be working on some maintenance on Blackie. Oil change, air filter change, cleaning and tinkering. And she needs new tires but I don't have the right tools to do that myself so it will require a visit to our dear dealer, Max Motorcycles.

We did get a new top case - yay! And it is securely tightened on Blackie. Now I will work on a new tool case and other items that were lost back in November.

Happy Holidays!
